Land Division Holds Colourful Farewell Dinner for Lady Justice Aisha Naluzze Batala
The Land Division of the High Court on Tuesday hosted a colourful farewell dinner at Four Points by Sheraton, Kololo, in honour of Lady Justice Aisha Naluzze Batala, who was recently appointed Inspector General of Government (IGG).
Organised by the leadership of the Division, the event provided an opportunity for Judicial Officers to celebrate and appreciate Justice Aisha's impactful service and outstanding contribution during her two-year deployment at the Land Division. Speakers, including the Head of Division, Lady Justice Damalie N. Lwanga, paid glowing tribute to her dedication, hard work, and commitment to timely and effective adjudication of land-related disputes.
Justice Aisha was especially recognised for her exceptional leadership of the Land Division Data and Statistics Committee, a role she executed with distinction. Under her stewardship, the Division registered notable improvements in data management, accuracy, and reporting. She was also commended for her drive for excellence, collaborative spirit, and the positive energy she brought to the Division.
As a token of appreciation, the leadership of the Division presented Justice Aisha with a plaque honouring her distinguished service, alongside a selection of gifts from colleagues who expressed gratitude for her mentorship and professionalism.
The farewell dinner was graced by several dignitaries, including the Chief Guest, Lady Justice Aisha Naluzze Batala; the Head of Division, Lady Justice Damalie Lwanga; the Deputy Head, Lady Justice Elizabeth Jane Alividza; and Judges; Patricia Basaza Wasswa, Olive Kazaarwe Mukwaya, Samuel Emokor, Christine Kaahwa, Christine Echookit, and Ida Nakiganda.
Also in attendance were HW Janeva Natukunda, Deputy Registrar-In Charge; HW Josephine Kabasinguzi Kayondo, Deputy Registrar; and Assistant Registrars; HW Samuel Kagoda, HW Rashida Butanula, and HW Christine Kellen Namutebi.
The Land Division extended its best wishes to Lady Justice Naluzze as she embarks on her new national assignment as Inspector General of Government.
